Dedicated relational database

A planning system generates a large planned & forecast data amounts exclusively for future periods. This requires a dedicated database as most existing in-house databases are usually geared to store historical data.

An RDBMS is necessary to enable retrieval of data in as many combinations of products, market, distribution channels, sales offices etc, and at different group/consolidated levels.
